3i Capital, an initiative birthed by the Create Venture Studio and seeded by a group of visionary angel investors, aimed to revolutionize the landscape of alternative investments. The mission was to create a cutting-edge investment platform akin to a "Robinhood for alternative investments" while fostering a vibrant community of like-minded investors to collaboratively syndicate funds. The initial operational setup involved manual processes and an Airtable sheet, prompting 3i Capital to seek our expertise in automating their entire business process and developing a streamlined web and mobile platform.

The Challenge
Embarking on this transformative initiative presented multifaceted challenges, akin to navigating uncharted terrain. The imperative was to evolve a basic operational setup into a sophisticated technological ecosystem for 3i Capital. This encompassed the intricate task of automating critical processes like investor onboarding, deal sharing, interest aggregation, collective fund syndication, execution of investment agreements, and seamless fund disbursement. Concomitantly, the development of features for detailed multimedia presentations of investment opportunities and the incorporation of community-building elements posed intricate hurdles that demanded innovative solutions. The challenge was not merely to develop a platform but to craft a seamless, user-centric experience that aligned with the intricate dynamics of alternative investments and community collaboration.
The overarching objectives of this visionary project were threefold, driving the team's focused efforts:
- Automating Operations: Streamline and automate the entire spectrum of 3i Capital's operational processes, from investor onboarding and deal sharing to fund disbursement, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Creating a Comprehensive Platform: Develop a robust web and mobile platform, accessible exclusively to approved and registered members. This platform would facilitate a seamless flow of information, interaction, and transactions, enhancing the overall user experience.
- Fostering Community and Multimedia Engagement: Integrate features that not only allow detailed multimedia presentations of investment opportunities but also nurture a sense of community. This includes organizing networking events, offering exclusive perks to members, and building a digital space for collaborative engagement among high-net-worth individuals and accredited investors.
These goals collectively aimed to not only digitize but revolutionize the alternative investment landscape, providing a user-friendly, tech-driven platform for investors to connect, collaborate, and collectively invest in opportunities.

Our collaborative journey with 3i Capital initiated with a comprehensive analysis of their intricate business processes. Understanding the nuanced requirements and envisioning the entirety of their workflow, we embarked on a meticulous exploration. Employing various visual aids such as diagrams and flowcharts, we aimed to encapsulate the essence of their operational intricacies.
The pivotal phase of our approach involved a deeply collaborative User Experience (UX) design exercise. Beta testing meticulously crafted wireframes with potential users, we sought to create a secure, web-based application tailored for members who had been both approved and completed payment transactions. This exclusivity ensured a controlled and secure environment, aligning with 3i Capital's vision of fostering a community of engaged and trustworthy investors.
A significant facet of our solution was the implementation of an intuitive admin panel using Forest Admin. This tool empowered 3i Capital's team with the ability to actively monitor and administer platform activities, providing them with the necessary controls for effective management.
The inclusion of multimedia capabilities marked a transformative addition to the platform. Investment opportunities could now be presented comprehensively, leveraging features that allowed for the seamless upload and presentation of PDF documents, alongside other multimedia elements. Integration with Zoom further facilitated due diligence calls, enhancing the overall user experience for investors engaged with the platform.
Community-building features were strategically integrated to enhance member engagement and interaction. Exclusive perks and benefits were made available solely to platform members, fostering a sense of belonging and appreciation. Additionally, members could participate in networking events globally, organized by regional directors within the community. This feature not only enriched the community experience but also expanded the global reach of 3i Capital.
The digitization effort extended beyond the platform's functional aspects, incorporating integrations with email notifications, Slack messages, and scheduled updates. This comprehensive approach ensured seamless communication and real-time monitoring of server uptime and platform health.
In culmination, our approach aimed not only to automate and streamline 3i Capital's operations but also to craft a dynamic and engaging platform that transcended traditional investment avenues.
